The 2012 Doomsday Prophecy originated from the ancient Mayan Calendar. Numerous people believed that the world was coming to an end because of the belief that they had set. According to the Mayan Calendar, the ending of the 13th baktun cycle , which is signaled to be the end of the world, was on December 21, 2012 . However, that did not happen, as we are now in 2025.
